Company History

Empowerment Massage Clinic opens in the summer of 2005 under its original name, Active Therapy Clinic. It was the largest massage clinic in the province of New Brunswick when it was opened by co-owners Liza Papazian and Michelle Peach.

Active Therapy Clinic is re-branded to Empowerment Massage Clinic as Liza becomes the sole owner of the business. With a new logo, colour scheme, website and a second location in Miramachi, the clinic took a big step towards what most clients are familiar with today!

This was also the year that 161 Northumberland got its unique and iconic purple paint job that warmly greets everyone coming in or passing by!

2020 brought a lot of changes to our clinic and the world as a whole. We took the challenge on, adapted and took all the steps necessary to allow the clinic to operate safely and offer needed treatments to our beloved clients.

We are so grateful for the support the clinic received during these years, we pushed through to the finish and have nobody to thank but our amazing clients and staff for adapting to the constant changes!

As we start to get back to normal, the clinic has been celebrating by receiving updates all around! These updates include a fresh coat of paint on the exterior (we still love our purple!) and interior updates such as renovations to clinic rooms, a fresh look in common areas and general improvements enjoyed by the staff and clients alike.
